The No.1 Summer Album

「The No.1 Summer Album」というどうしようもないタイトルに変なジャケット。これは10年くらい前のコンピ盤。ワゴンで安かったし"Three Lions"が入っていたので買ったもの。
ずっと暑いので涼しいところで久しぶりに "Long Hot Summer"を聴きてみようかと思ってThe Style CouncilのCDを聴いてもよかたのだけど、確かこれにも入っていたと思い出したので。


聴いたDisc1 はこんな感じ。

やっぱりムチャクチャだなぁとは思うんだけど、タイトルにはちゃんとsummerと入ったものも多くて、The Kinks、The Small Faces、Lovin' Spoonfulという並びやFun Boy Three 、Bananaramaという並びに配慮を感じないでもない。
Disc2はAswadが入っているかと思えばABBAや10ccが入っていてやっぱりムチャクチャなのだけど、The Isley BrothersにKool & The Gang、Otis ReddingにThe Driftersという並びに配慮を感じないでもない。
